I went to a size of more than half what I wear in Nike. I have a high arch and use a commercial orthotic insole. My Templates perscription would not though. It seems very stable, which is good because excessive pronation and I have a weak ankle. I'm not a high mileage runner. I have about 15 miles on these so far and I see no wear on the top mesh, which is a place I've seen some complaints in other reviews. They do a cross trainer that has a leather upper, so if you are thinking about using this as a walker or a shoe of the day, I would go with them. The material used for the sole is more like the foam, so it looks like it could carry out a bit before a rubber sole, but that's probably why they are so comfortable. They are the most comfortable running shoes I ever had.
