By Ricardo Ponce Orrantia I recently bought my 1123 to help start exercising again. 10 months ago I had a gastric sleeve gastronomy and have lost 100 pounds a day. Currently I'm still 100 pounds of my ideal weight, so yes I am a big man. At first I tried to start walking with normal shoes, but the pain was unbearable, so I hit the Internet at the time and did a little searching and a lot of people balance new recommendations for older people. After extensive searching, I decided the next best course of action was to find a real New Balance store and get a professional advice on which model to try. The type of store suggested I give the 1123 a try, even though they are not pure walking shoes, said it would be best for me. I've tried in the store and do not remove them, left them. These are very comfortable shoes, especially for a big guy like me, the pain is gone! I have not owned for a long time yet, but I went for long walks, and feel I can move on. I hope that New Balance will be my partner for the next 100 LB, and after 45 minute walk this morning that he feels that way. Great shoes!
